Menlo Park-based photographer Barry Fleisher continues his project focused on LPCH construction

by Linda Hubbard on July 22, 2015

We received an update from Menlo Park-based photographer Barry Fleisher about his project photographing the construction of the new children’s hospital at Stanford:

“During the past 15 months, I’ve continued to follow the construction of the new Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. I visit the site at least once each week and have found that both the nighttime artificial light and the the early morning natural light provide the best opportunities to shoot.

“My goals are to document the progress on the structure, show the workers at their jobs, and provide some details of the construction. Thanks to the hospitality and support of LPCH and the construction contractors, a number of my photographs were enlarged, laminated, and placed on display on the construction trailers along one edge of the project where they can be viewed by visiting hospital officials and the construction workers. Others continue on exhibition inside the hospital.

“I plan to continue to add to this body of work until the hospital is completed and opened in 2017. I hope you’ll enjoy viewing these photographs as much as I’ve enjoyed taking them.”

From the couple dozen he sent, we’ve selected four to share with InMenlo readers.
