Anniversary sale slated for Junior League’s newly-renovated store in downtown Menlo Park

The Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula (JLPA•MP) is showcasing its newly-renovated resale shop in downtown Menlo Park by hosting a 25% off sale, on Monday, October 12. The sale is in celebration of The Shop’s 45th anniversary.
Since its founding in 1970, The Shop, located at 785 Santa Cruz Avenue, has raised more than $5 million to fund the Junior League’s many community projects, grants, and services. Customers can find gently-used clothing, accessories and household items donated by League members, local retailers and the community at large. The Shop is especially known for its fine selection of designer clothing and handbags, as well as china and crystal, at unbeatable prices.
The Shop first moved to Menlo Park in 1995, after 25 years in Redwood City. The recently completed renovation, guided by interior designer and League member Melissa Badger, transformed the popular resale destination from its original shabby chic design to a contemporary and spacious boutique. Customers will appreciate the spacious sales floor and expanded inventory, including new shoe and children’s departments.
Community members are encouraged to come “shop for a good cause” every Monday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Shop also welcomes donations of gently-worn, quality clothing and merchandise in “like-new” condition. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law and may be made Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at The Shop’s back door.
