Blair Morgan’s Design Group is fundraising for expanded Ronald McDonald House at Stanford

Interior designer Blair Morgan, whose retail store HOME is in downtown Menlo Park, is participating in the Where Hope Has a Home campaign benefitting Ronald McDonald House at Stanford.

The House provides housing for families with terminally ill and critically ill children. Morgan Design Group is decorating two of the guest rooms plus a central lounge area between the two.

“After trying to raise funds through our retail store, we still find ourselves approximately $20,000 shy of the money needed to finish furnishing these rooms,” emails Blair. “Our original goal was $100,000 but because we are so far away from that number, we are just trying to cover the cost of the furnishings at this point.

“Donations are 100% tax deductible and Ronald McDonald House will send donors a letter for their taxes. People can donate online and then the House will distribute the money to us for purchasing the remaining items.”

The expanded Ronald McDonald House is hoping to open by the end of the year and construction is moving along quickly.

“The families that rely on the Ronald McDonald house typically have no other option,” explains Blair. “Currently, they are turning away 40 to 50 needy families each night because they have no more rooms. And sadly, 30% of the families can’t even afford the requested optional $10 a night fee. So please, give what you can to this noble cause.”
