Rainy weekend is prelude to rainy week

Update: we got another report from Bill around 4:00 pm; he’d recorded another.3″ since the morning, so 5.5″ today with season-to-date 5.35″.

The wet weather over the weekend is leading to more wet weather this week with sun expected on Wednesday and Christmas day.

“Another .25″ in our rain gauge this morning,” emails InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ. “That makes 5.05″ season-to-date. Last year the number at this date was a big 13.60”, but then so little rain fell once we turned into 2015.

“A good comparison is to the rain year 2010-11 when we were last over 20″, in my backyard. On this date in 2010 my total was 7.25″.”
