David Klein launches inspirational podcasts on lessons learned through sports

Menlo-Atherton High School grad and founder/General Manager of the Menlo Park Legends has added inspirational podcasts to his multiple baseball-related pursuits.

“We’re focusing on current and former baseball players,” he says. “The rationale behind the podcasts is that sports builds character, which helps you progress as a person both on and off the field. Baseball is a great tool for teaching life lessons.

Legends Life pix“It’s a game of failure, so staying positive is key. A lot of people feel very strongly about what baseball has done for them.”

David gave as an example his recent conversation with Steve Springer, MLB scout and Performance Coach with the Toronto Blue Jays who has over 28 years in professional baseball as player, agent and scout. “Here’s a guy who was undersized and spent 12 years in the minors,” he said. “But he stresses an ‘opening day mindset’ where every time you step into the batter’s box, your goal is a quality at bat.”

The podcasts, which last from 20  to 60 minutes, are free, but David says subscribing is really helpful. “Every subscriber and download helps a ton. Ratings/reviews are even better!” he said. Click here to subscribe view iTunes. Click here to subscribe via Stitcher.
