No doubt – San Francisquito Creek is rushing!

by Linda Hubbard on March 13, 2016

While the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the Bay Area from through today (3/13),  the San Francisquito Creek Joint Powers Authority does not anticipate flooding will occur along San Francisquito Creek. Residents along the creek can check the status online.

The accompanying photo was taken from the San Mateo Dr. bridge about 10:00 am with rain continuing since then and expected to fall through this evening.

Reports InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ: “At 7:30 am, reporting an overnite total of .5″ bringing the year-to-date total  17.8″. This compares to 17.55″ in 2010-11, when the final season was 21.3″.”

Bill’s 4:00 pm update: “Another .25″. This is .95″ for the full day and 18.25″ season-to=date. Those weather fellows back in a dry February said not to give up. This is to salute them.”
