Bay Area music stalwarts Keith Terry (pictured) and Evie Ladin of Crosspulse are bringing their skills to the Menlo Park Library on August 4 for a free family performance entitled “Finding the Rhythm Around Us.”

The event will take place at 10:30 am on Thursday, August 4, outside the Main Library, located at 800 Alma Street. Terry and Ladin will introduce a variety of world music traditions including found sound, jazz, Appalachian banjo, and step dancing, as they create tunes utilizing bells, boxes, balls, body music, and beyond.

Crosspulse is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to the creation, performance and recording of rhythm-based, intercultural music and dance. Since 1980 the organization has sponsored scores of projects, featuring outstanding artists from many cultural traditions.
