Madera, the restaurant at Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park, has added a new trendy dessert — Pokémon Go-themed bonbons. The flavors, pictured top to bottom, are: Gotta Catch ‘Em All (Pokémon collage: vanilla bean ganache); Articuno (blue bird: dark chocolate infused with icy mint): Pokéball #1: (strawberries, crème and a touch of pop rocks); Moltres (red bird: a blend of chili negro and  espelette ganache); Pokéball #2: (tart raspberry coupled with rose and lychee fruit);  Zapdos (yellow bird: passion fruit with a splash of yuzu citrus).

“Ever since Pokémon Go launched, players from the mid-Peninsula have traveled to Rosewood Sand Hill to catch rare Pokémon on the hotel’s property,” said Executive Chief Peter Rudolph. “Guided by the artistic vision of Assistant Pastry Chef Lance Nitta, Madera’s Pokémon bonbons not only capture the flavors of Pokémon Go but connect guests to the local tech culture in the Bay Area where the game was created.”
