It’s a rainy start to Friday in Menlo Park

After some little spurts and wimpy sprinkles, the long-forecast rain finally began to fall late yesterday afternoon, continuing through out the night. InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ checked his backyard rain gauge about the same time kids were walking to school and found a recorded .85″ which brings his season-to-date to 3.15″. Last year, there had been minimal rain at this point, even though it was supposed to be a big rain year.
Bill updated us around 3:00 pm today, adding another .1″ for a total of 3.25″.
