Skeletons and goblins reigned supreme today at the popular Farmers Market held at Facebook on Saturdays. The final market for the year had a Halloween theme — natch — and kids could select a free pumpkins as well as get their faces painted and grab a balloon twist.

Facebook Corporate Communications Manager Jamil Walker let us know that over the 25 weekly markets, there were 50,000 attendees, over 100 community organizations showcased, $45,000 raised for non-profits, and 37 farms supported.

The local non-profits receiving funds included, among others, EPA Made, Fit Kids, Job Train, Menlo Park 4-H, Menlo Spark, Menlo Park Wrestling, Peninsula Volunteers and the Riekes Center.

Look for the market to resume next Spring.
