Menlo Fire Task Force continues search and damage assessments on big island of Hawai

Menlo Fire Chief Harold Schapelhouman emailed that yesterday [Sunday, Aug. 26), California Task Force 3 Members were assigned remote search areas in the Fern Forest and Mountain View areas outside Hilo, Hawaii, where they conducted home-by-home welfare and area-wide damage assessments under the guidance of Hawaiian Civil Defense Agency.
