Wow – that’s a front yard full of jack o’ lanterns

by Linda Hubbard on October 31, 2018

Here’s another Menlo Park front yard that’s best seen in person as is Greg Hyde’s monster yard on Laurel.  This one is filled with jack o’ lanterns, location Oakfield, corner of White Oak. Homeowner Diane explained that the tradition started 30 or years ago with carving done on Halloween itself. “But that conflicted with trick or treating,” she said.

So now friends gather the Saturday before Halloween. The results decorate the front yard with faces of all kinds. We call the one shown right “Wacky Jacky.”
