Morning showers yield to off and on sun on the last day of winter

The last full day of winter in the 2022-2023 rain season saw early morning showers yielding to off and on again sunshine in the afternoon.

InMenlo weather watcher Dennis Nugent’s digital rain gauge recorded just 0.10″, bringing the season total (October 1 to September 30) to 33.59″.

March 20 ushers in spring — but not until 2:24 pm PDT.

Puddle-loving dog Maggie was happy to splash on her walk.
