First the thunder, then the rain

About an hour after yesterday’s rain report was issued, there was a huge clap of thunder followed by another — and another and another.

InMenlo weather watcher got a urgent text for golfers to leave the Stanford golf course immediately (he wasn’t playing at the time).

The it poured, really poured, accumulating 0.47″ before midnight. That brings the season-to-date to 21.55″.The monthly total on this last day of March is 5.12″. In March 2023 the rainfall was 9.18″; the season-to-date 38.03″
