Artist Jim Caldwell talks about Edgar Degas on May 2
Edgar Degas is recognized as one of the great masters of the 19th century and a leader of the Impressionist Movement. He left us a huge body of work which includes paintings, pastels, etchings, drawings and sculptures.
Born in Paris, he never married and devoted his entire life to his art. He was constantly experimenting with new media, techniques, and complex compositions. His total recall ability enabled him to catch the complex motion of horses, dancers and bathers.
On Thursday, May 2, at 6:00 pm, artist Jim Caldwell will present a 40 minute slide show containing over 60 beautiful images of Degas’ work.. It will be via Zoom hosted by the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto.
