MPCSD Early Learning Center to offer new two-year-old program

by Contributed Content on May 23, 2024

Menlo Park City School District’s preschool, the Early Learning Center, is launching a pilot two-year-old program at Laurel School’s Lower Campus in Atherton beginning in August of 2024. The program is now accepting applications for the 2024-25 school year for the two-year-old classroom. Eligible students will be two years old by the first day of enrollment.

The ELC’s two-year-old program will mirror its play-based preschool program, with a special focus on the developmental considerations of this unique age. The environment will encourage the growth of independence and self-help skills, communication and social awareness, as well as physical development and sensory exploration, through a fabric of nurturing relationships. This program will also encourage Spanish language development in a partial-immersion model with one English-speaking and one Spanish-speaking teacher.  To apply for the ELC two-year-old pilot program, please complete the twos program application form.

There are also  a few spaces available in the ELC preschool program serving children ages three- through five-years-old at the Laurel site. Apply online for the 2024-2025 school year.
