Tierna Davidson plays in winning match against Germany in today’s Olympics

US women’s national soccer team defender Tierna Davidson, who grew up in Menlo Park and graduated from Sacred Heart Prep in 2016, returned to play in today’s semifinal matchup with Germany, which Team USA won, 1-0.

With an Olympic Gold Medal now at stake, Davidson & Co. advance to the final match against Brazil, set for this Saturday at 8:00 am PDT.

Tierna played on the 2020 U.S. Women’s Olympic Soccer Team, winning the Bronze Medal (the games were played in 2021 due to the pandemic).

She continued her local roots collegiately, playing at Stanford. She is currently with the NJ/NY Gotham FC.
