Rain was forecast but not much fell in Menlo Park
The rain that was predicted to fall last night in Menlo Park didn’t start until after midnight, according InMenlo weather watcher Dennis Nugent’s digital gauge. And it wasn’t much — just 0.06″ total, yielding to blue skies in the morning.
That is the first measurable precipitation in the water year that runs October 1 2024 to September 30, 2025. An overnight shower on October 31st was not measurable.
If you remember the rain year running from July 1 to June 30 as I do, you are not alone. Here’s a newspaper article that explains the change.
