Wow — that was one big storm overnight and into the morning

Rain began a bit after midnight on Saturday and continued through out the night. There was a loud thunderstorm around 4:30 am, just in case heavy sleepers weren’t listening to the action.

This morning featured a little bit of everything, including more rain and a pretty rainbow.

The heavy winds caused large branches to fall to the ground.

InMenlo weather watcher Dennis Nugent’s digital gauge recorded a whopping 1.49″, bringing the year to date to 4.63″. Update: there was another 0.01″ in the afternoon,, bringing the year to date to 4.64″.
