Spotted: Long line at Cook’s Seafood
Not a surprise that InMenlo contributing photographer Irene Searles spotted a long line outside of Cook’s Seafood today. It’s fish/crab have been a holiday favorite since 1928! That makes it one of the oldest — if not the oldest — establishments in Menlo Park.

My uncle was bob rahe (pronounced RAY) – he and aunt Jessie and my family used to eat there often (usually at the family table in the kitchen) – his daughter Elisabeth (Beth) now lives in a retirement community in Campbell and has severe memory challenges – they lived, until Uncle Bob’s death due to heart failure, on Wilmar Drive in Palo Alto – we were gathered there in 1955? To be with Aunt Jessie and cousin Beth when his second wife showed up at the door unbenounced – what surprises come to families –
