Spotted: Beautifully lit tree on Santa Cruz Avenue
Coming home last night after dark, we spotted Judy Morley’s beautifully lit tree on Santa Cruz Avenue near Lemon Avenue — and reached out to Robb Most for a photo he took last year of the tree.
Judy told us then that she keeps it lit during the dark months in memory of her partner Dr. Dmitri Talaska who died in 2022.

We are newer to the area and we love driving past the tree! We always wanted to stop and knock on the door to thanks the individuals responsible for providing such a lovely sight. We’re sorry for Ms. Morley’s loss but her beautiful tribute to her late partner is enjoyed greatly. Thank you for a little “sunshine” on these long winter nights!!

I also want to say it never fails to put a smile on my face when I see it. I’ve tried to drive by slow enough so I could get the address in order to send a thank you note – but this post will have to do.
