Donate blood and get a Warriors sweatshirt!

by Contributed Content on January 8, 2025

Stanford Blood Center (SBC) is celebrating National Blood Donor Month this January by thanking donors for their lifesaving generosity with fantastic giveaways and events.

As a proud partner of the Golden State Warriors, all donors will receive an exclusive Stanford Blood Center/Warriors sweatshirt. Additionally, SBC is partnering with the San Jose Sharks for a special “Save a Life” blood drive, giving donors the chance to win  Sharks-themed prizes.

The holiday season often brings a significant dip in blood donations due to travel, seasonal illnesses, and busy schedules, which makes January an especially critical time to replenish the blood supply. “With the new year comes an opportunity to reflect on what truly matters, and blood donation is an incredible way to support your community,” said Harpreet Sandhu, CEO of Stanford Blood Center. “We encourage everyone to consider making blood donation a regular part of their routine or even part of their New Year’s resolution. Every donation has the power to save lives and make a meaningful difference.”

In addition to a free Warriors sweatshirt, donors can sign up to participate in the “Save a Life” blood drive with the San Jose Sharks on Saturday, January 11, 2025. “We’re honored to team up with the Sharks again for our annual blood drive,” said Elisa Manzanares, SBC account manager. “This popular event offers fans a chance to combine their passion for hockey with the opportunity to make a lifesaving impact. Every blood donation helps patients in need, and we’re so grateful for the Sharks’ continued support in bringing the community together to save lives.”

As a special thank-you, donors will be entered to win exciting prizes:
