Menlo Park resident Charlotte Reed is Grammy Award finalist

by Linda Hubbard on February 5, 2025

After posting about Taylor Eigsti’s Grammy award last Sunday, we got a tip that he was not the only one with Menlo Park ties at the award ceremony.

Menlo Park resident Charlotte Reed was a finalist for the Best Choral Performance award for Akathist.  She performed with Downtown Voices on the recording of Benedict Sheehan’s oratorio, which was recorded last fall at New York’s historic Trinity Church.

Charlotte is a two-time Grammy nominee in this category as an ensemble musician. She was also a finalist with The Oratorio Society of New York for Best Choral Performance for Paul Moravec’s Sanctuary Road at the Grammy Awards in 2020.

You can hear Charlotte sing as a cantor at St. Raymond Catholic Church in Menlo Park and with Bay Area choral ensembles Peninsula Cantare and The San Francisco Bach Choir.

When she’s not singing, Charlotte volunteers with the Junior League of Palo Alto-Mid Peninsula and works in public relations.
