Wow – that was some rain — and thunder — storm

Yes, wow, particularly in relation to the hour long thunder storm that came through mid-afternoon on Wednesday.

Given that it was still raining hard after that excitement, InMenlo weather watch Dennis Nugent delayed looking at his digital gauge until this morning so that the full 24 hour period could be measured.

And it was over an inch — a measurement that is fairly infrequent in Menlo Park — 1.03″ for March 12.

There was a bit more this morning before the sun broke through — 0.18″.

That brings the season-to-date to 14.95″. The rainfall total for the season on March 12, 2024 was 19.16″.
