Spotted: Special dish to celebrate Earth Day
We first spotted this photo posted by Flea Street owner Jesse Cool on Facebook: “Join us on Earth Day with our newest dish — Stand Up for Soil: shallot custard | edible dirt.”
We inquired: “Really dirt?”
To which Jesse replied: “A perfect example of old meets new. Chef Isabelle Nunes used a recipe for a garlic flan from my Onion book — and added her own touches!”
