Emailed Jim, a Woodside resident: “The Chinese American I.M. Pei was one of the most successful modern architects of the late 20th Century. He and his firm, Pei, Cobb, Freed, designed over 250 projects in over 100 cities worldwide. Perhaps best known for his glass pyramid at the Louvre in Paris, he had a genius for bold, simple geometric forms in glass which look as contemporary today as they did 40 years ago. He won many design awards throughout his lifetime.”
This 45-minute slide show examines 10 of his most outstanding projects and contains over 100 brilliant images of Pei’s masterpieces.
