Portola Valley Creative Arts Fest is accepting artists applications

Portola Valley Arts Fest will be held this year from on Saturday, September 13.

The organization will be accepting applications for a booth space through the end of the month and for the group exhibition until July 21st.

Pam Dorrell emailed to let us know what’s  up this year:

• Kids,’ local-author story time — Our local librarian is coming again this year with new favorite local authors’ children’s books. We will collaborate on book-themed kids’ art activities.
• Children’s musical theater — Our local Portola Valley Theater Conservatory will be back again to perform from their summer program\
• Kids’ art projects — Last year, these reflected the musical side of the show and ecological issues by having the kids make working musical instruments using treasures from the recycling bin and supporting materials on ocean plastics pollution. This year, we support our authors and the library with a couple of easy books forms people can fill as they are so moved.
• 
• Those silly photo frame art things — Did you come last year? We have a lot of these. Fun and festive.
• Four other musical performances — Some returning, some new, all wonderful
• Local authors reading — This year the theme will be women authors, featuring writers from She Writes, a publisher supporting women writers.
• Artists’ multimedia workshop — This year, the workshop will be about making pet portraits.
