Scott Lohmann is new Development Director at the National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy
Menlo Park resident Scott Lohmann is the new Development Director at the National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy (NCEFT) based in Woodside. And yes, he likes horses, telling InMenlo that he got used to large animals when his brother owned a dairy farm.
Throughout his career, Scott has worked at both start ups and non-profits, including senior development leadership roles with organizations such as VolunteerMatch.org, Voices College-Bound Language Academies, and the Peninsula College Fund (PCF) where he served as a board member for over a decade, including two years as President of the Board.
“These days I’m mission driven and want to bring more visibility to NCEFT, which offers physical, occupational and mental health services, available to anyone in the community,” he says. “The goal for our winter campaign is to raise $250,000.”
Those interested can donate online.
Beyond his professional life, Scott is a long-time community leader and mentor. He currently coaches boys’ varsity lacrosse at Sequoia High School and has held key volunteer leadership positions in Menlo Park, including Co-President of the Menlo Park-Atherton Education Foundation (MPAEF), Co-President of Foundation for the Future, and President of the Menlo-Atherton High School Sports Boosters.
