CANCELLED: Take part in Gelli art workshop on December 8

by Contributed Content on December 6, 2025

An update from John Weaver: We’re sorry. Today’s planned Gelli Printing Workshop has been canceled, due to instructor illness. We will try to reschedule for a future date.

On Monday, December 8, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, come to the Menlo Park Library (800 Alma St.) to learn about printing with Gelli plates, an easy DIY printmaking process, during a fun, hands-on workshop.

Teaching artist Raine Robichaud will explain how to create textures and layers with gelli plates and household and natural materials. The gelli plates we will be using do not contain any animal products and are nontoxic.

This workshop, appropriate for adults and children over 8,  will be using acrylic paint which can stain clothing, but washable tempera paint will also be an option.

John,

If you reschedule it and you’d like to have children eight and over attend You might want to do it after school during the week or on a weekend. Alternately The winter break is coming up starting I believe December 19th So anytime during the two weeks between then and January 3rd might open it up students as well. Thank you
