Spotted: Local search and rescue team deployed in Washington

California Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Task Force 3 (CA-TF3), sponsored by the Menlo Park Fire Protection District, deployed a team of first responders to Washington State for its developing flooding emergency.

The team of 45 highly trained, prepared and equipped first responders is comprised of Bay Area firefighters and civilian professionals, primarily spanning an area from San Francisco to San Jose.  CA-TF3/Menlo Fire has 17 supporting fire agencies and 60 professional civilian volunteers for a team of about 210 personnel.

Two other California Task forces from Oakland Fire (CA-TF4) and Sacramento Fire (CA-TF7) were also deployed.
