Delicious chicken pot pie — yours for the tasting in Menlo Park

OK, we know what you are thinking — all this excitement about chicken pot pie?
But “extremely tasty” is the description for the chicken pot pie created by Chef Sal, offered only on Tuesdays at Menlo Tavern at the Stanford Park Hotel.
It’s topped with a near “melt-in-your-mouth” crust and filled with little chunks of white and dark meat chicken. You’ll need a spoon to scoop up all the flavor.

Given that even the best pot pies are not particularly photogenic, we’re also including a photo of the great beet salad we shared to start our meal that is akin to a piece of art.
