Spotted: A pair of courting coyotes on the Stanford golf course

Coyote mating season has begun and to InMenlo weather watcher Dennis Nugent it looked like these two were looking for a home on the Stanford golf course.
“One was clearly trying to protect the other,” he emailed.
During this time, coyotes are more active, especially at dusk and dawn, as they search for partners. They may seem less fearful of humans and more aggressive towards other dogs.
During mating season, keep cats and small dogs indoors or closely supervised, even in your own yard. Remove bird feeders and secure garbage. Carry a whistle, air horn, or noisemaker to scare them off if necessary.

I note 3 critters. I am not going to golf anytime soon!
