Spotted: Menlo Speaks Out protesting ICE activity

by Linda Hubbard on January 26, 2026

Emails Mary Watson of Menlo Speaks Out:  “The ICE activity around the country — particularly the killings in Minneapolis — has really turned up the level of intensity in our protests. We had over 50 people on Sunday when it has usually been 15-20. The level honking on our route was significantly higher!”

For those interested in participating, Menlo Park Speaks Out meets every Sunday morning, gathering at Fremont Park at 10:30 am and walking through town via the Farmer’s Market down to the corner of El Camino and Ravenswood, returning by approximately 11:30.

“We have been doing this without missing a Sunday since this past April.,” says Mary. “Momentum is building and we need to keep it going as long as our Democracy is at threat.”

America fought World War II to stop Gestapo tactics. Now they’ve come home. ICE means pain for the many who only want the American dream.
