8th grade Hillview musicians shine at All-State music education conference

Last fall three Hillview Middle School 8th-grade musicians auditioned for the prestigious California All-State Orchestras and Bands. After being selected from a large pool of outstanding students statewide, they traveled to Sacramento in January to participate in the 2026 California All-State Music Education Conference (CASMEC).

Following four days of intensive clinics, rehearsals, and concerts the event culminated in a series of great performances at the historic Sacramento Memorial Auditorium.
