Spotted: Flowering berries at Webb Ranch

“After timely rains and record high March temperatures, our berry field is bursting with flowers. Should we continue to get warm temperatures in May, our U-Pick season could begin as early as the end of May, something that hasn’t happened for over eight years.

“Our Prime-Ark Blackberry and Olallieberry varieties will be the first to ripen. We recently applied our compost in the rows to enrich the soil and provide nutrients for the plants to continue producing berries all summer long.

“We’re looking forward to a great U-Pick season!”
