Burgess Pool swim coach develops Parker’s Pak for kids undergoing cancer treatment

Emails Burgess Pool Masters swim coach Rebecca Eastman: “Parker’s Pak was born out of a deeply personal experience. My son was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at just 18 months old, and during one phase of his treatment he was connected to a continuous infusion pump 24/7.
“There were no child-friendly options to safely carry the pump while still allowing him to move, play, and simply be a kid. So I created one. What began as a solution for my own child has grown into a mission to support other families navigating pediatric cancer treatment — helping children feel a sense of comfort, dignity, and freedom during an incredibly difficult time.
“Since launching, Parker’s Pak has reached children and families across the country. Seeing another child wearing a Pak for the first time was an emotional moment I will never forget — it was the realization that something born out of one of our hardest chapters could now help others through theirs. Parker’s Paks are now making their way into hospitals such as Mayo Clinic, St. Jude, Stanford Children’s, Kaiser, and more.
“One of the most meaningful ways your readers can support this mission is through the “Give a Pak” option on our website. This allows us to directly send Parker’s Paks to children and families who are actively going through treatment — many of whom would not otherwise have access to something like this. It’s a simple but powerful way to make an immediate, tangible impact in a child’s life during an incredibly difficult time.
“We are also always looking to connect with hospitals, clinics, and foundations who can help us expand our reach and ensure these backpacks get into the hands of the kids who need them most.”
