Hillview Middle School promotes 281 students

On Friday (June 12) at Hillview Middle School — in front of a brand new mural — 281 newly minted high schoolers received their promotions.

The mural incorporates students’ own words, like valued, inspired, corazon, friends, community, and generosity. It may be the perfect backdrop for a class known for being kind, inclusive, and service-oriented.

Hillview Principal Danielle O’Brien, MPCSD Superintendent Kristen Gracia, and School Board President Jed Scolnick presented the Class of 2026 and declared them ready to take on the new world of high school, writing their own stories as they make their marks on the world.

Following the ceremony, students celebrated with a circus-themed party in the Hillview gym, sponsored by the PTO.
