Pete Zivkov brings photographs back to the print world — with good results!

Pete Zivkov’s career has spanned education and technology but his passion has alway been photography.

“l started as a kid, using my dad’s camera when I was seven or eight years old,” he says.

Noting that friends today tend to share photos via social media, he missed seeing photos on a grander scale, so he took action. He’s put together a print portfolio that people can leaf through at CoffeeBar Menlo Park (1149 Chestnut St.).

“Photographs look different when they’re big,” he says.  “Viewers can see more detail and really examine each photo due to its size.

“I’ve gotten great feedback and am really pleased with the outcome. It’s been a great way to build community.”

Concurrently, Pete has another project at three cafes in San Francisco. “They’re photos of City street scenes that are pertinent to location — double exposures with two images on top of each other. They are visually like a puzzle.”
