Flood Park closed Wednesdays in September and October for pest management

The next round of pest management activity requires a series of closures of the park during September and October 2026.
All facilities, including the bike pump track, multi-use field, sports courts, and walking paths will be closed during this work.
The park will be closed on the following days:
-Wednesday, September 9
-Wednesday, September 16
-Wednesday, September 23
-Wednesday, September 30
-Wednesday, October 7
-Wednesday, October 14
-Wednesday, October 21
-Wednesday, October 28
Qualified Parks and USDA biologists continue to monitor the work and will determine if further action is required.
The planned management techniques are humane and safe to the public, domesticated animals, and non-targeted wildlife outside of burrows. No poison will be used. All treatment methods are conducted in accordance with the USDA and American Veterinary Medical Association standards. San Mateo County Park and USDA staff will be present while work is conducted.
