Ravenswood Classroom Partners is seeking new volunteers

As a new school year begins, the Ravenswood City School District (RCSD) is welcoming over 100 new students following the recent closing of The Primary School in East Palo Alto.

As a result, local nonprofit Ravenswood Classroom Partners (RCP) is launching an urgent community appeal to expand its circle of volunteers who are placed directly in Transitional Kindergarten through 5th-grade classrooms to provide targeted, hands-on tutoring.

You do not need a background in education. RCP equips all of its volunteers with literacy resources and structured, evidence-based training to ensure both tutors and students feel confident and supported from day one.

Volunteers commit to one hour per week during the school day. Throughout the year, they work with the same teacher and the same small group of students, allowing them to build meaningful, consistent relationships.
