Las Lomitas Elementary School District accepted into National Network of Innovative School Districts

Las Lomitas Elementary School District (LLESD) has been accepted into the League of Innovative Schools, a national network connecting and supporting forward-thinking education leaders. Digital Promise, a non-partisan global nonprofit, sponsors the League and works to advance equitable education through research, practice, and technology.

LLESD was selected from a competitive national pool of applicants based on its educational leadership, commitment to excellence, innovative vision for learning, achievements, and collaborative spirit.

The timing is especially meaningful as the district begins developing its next five-year strategic plan, focused on making learning increasingly engaging, relevant, rigorous, and responsive to students.

“We’re incredibly excited to be part of the League,” said Erik Burmeister, LLESD Superintendent. “There is so much we can learn from innovative districts across the country, and we’re equally excited to share the great work happening here in LLESD. It’s that exchange of ideas, experiences, and practices that makes the League such a worthwhile opportunity for our students, teachers, and district.”
