Peninsula Volunteer’s Little House Activity Center will host an Introduction to Facebook event on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 3:30 pm. Representatives from Facebook, Menlo Park’s newest corporate citizen, will be on hand to explain how to use the social networking website.
The interactive presentation will be geared towards individuals who have limited experience with Facebook and are looking to advance their social media skills. Basic user functions such as communicating with family and friends will be discussed as well as Facebook-specific terms such as “newsfeed” and “wall post”.
As Little House will soon be launching a Facebook Page to interact with members and promote activities, this event serves as an excellent chance to familiarize oneself with the social media technology to truly reap the benefits of both Little House and Facebook.
The event is open to both Little House members and non-members, and all ages are welcome to attend. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptops to follow along with the presentation.
