Mitchell Johnson: Selected Paintings 1990-2013 is an exhibit at two venues in Menlo Park and Palo Alto. This show is an unusual grouping of 30 paintings that span more than 20 years.

Explains the Menlo Park-based artist, “Newer small paintings from Cape Cod and Europe are on view at Flea Street Cafe in Menlo Park through March. Large paintings and earlier paintings from California and Europe that explore both abstraction and Fairfield Porter-like representation are on view at Castilleja School’s Anita Seipp Gallery in Palo Alto during February.”

Seipp Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 10:00 to 3:00; visitors need to enter through the Castilleja office and sign in. There is an artist reception, Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2013, 5:30-7:30 pm. Please RSVP to mitchelljohnson5@gmail.com if you are coming.
