Two public outreach meetings on new Atherton Civic Center set for June 3 & 4

by Contributed Content on May 31, 2015

The Atherton Civic Center Project continues to move along. The Project Architect, WRNS, and the Civic Center Advisory Committee are hosting Public Outreach Meetings as part of the Conceptual Design Phase. The first two public meetings are being held on June 3 and June 4 from 6-8PM in the Pavilion at the Park .

Once those meetings conclude, WRNS and the Committee will embark on a series of small-group neighborhood outreach meetings. All dates and times for these meetings are posted on the Town’s Calendar. Location details will follow.

The June 3 and 4 Public Outreach meetings are intended to gather broader public input on the Initial Concept Designs for the new Civic Center, including new Police and Library facilities. Both meetings will have the same agenda.

From these Outreach Meetings, working with the Committee, WRNS will produce a Final Concept Plan that reflects the comments received throughout the review process. The Final Concept Plan will include a site plan, building plan, building elevations, sections, 3D digital model, and exterior materials and finishes. From there, WRNS will move to the Schematic Design Phase where they will refine the design for formal submittals.
