by Linda Hubbard on September 22, 2010

Joining the field of “local good deal” websites with its launch today is Deal Pop SF Peninsula. According to a press release, the site, a subsidiary of WhitePages which was started in the Stanford dorm room of Alex Algard, will feature daily deals that offer savings of up to 70% off  “the best places to eat, drink, and have fun on the Peninsula.”

The SF Peninsula site kicks off with deals from The Prolific Oven in Palo Alto ($5 for $10 worth of food and drink) and the Menlo Park Academy of Dance ($15 for $30 worth of dance classes).

Other local good deal sites include FreshGuide Silicon Valley, Juice in the City, and MyTownDeal.
