Alternative gift market next two Sundays at Trinity Church

by Linda Hubbard on December 4, 2010

Trinity Church in Menlo Park is hosting an alternative gift market this Sunday (12/5) and next (12/12) from 11:oo am to 1:oo pm in Angus Hall.

The idea is to buy something that helps people in need – from Menlo Park to Malawi – for someone on your gift list in lieu of a present. Items include malaria nets/beehives/goat (in the form of a donation), funding a turkey dinner, and making a microloan to start a business as well as wish lists from local nonprofits.

There will also be tables with really good “stuff” you can buy – recyclable gift bags, handmade Christmas and holiday ornaments, and donated holiday items to reuse such as ornaments, candles, and decorations.

Trinity Church is located on the corner of Laurel and Ravenswood in Menlo Park.
