Spotted: Vizions duo gets creative with hair for Trashion Show celebrating Earth Month

Joy and Shawn Blackburn (pictured above with model), owners of Vizions Artwear & Salon in downtown Menlo Park, let us know that they recently participated in the Trashion Show/Aveda Catwalks – part of an Earth Month celebration – in San Francisco.

“We presented two models styled with different looks – Fire and Fantasy,” emailed Shawn.

The Trashion Show featured fashions constructed from eco-friendly textiles like organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, soybean fibers, recycled polyurethane, modal and Tyvek. Proceeds from the show benefited  Clean Water Fund, the organization that brings people together to solve health, environmental and community problems. Since 1978, the Fund has helped people campaign successfully for cleaner and safer water, cleaner air, and protection from toxic pollution in homes, neighborhoods and workplaces.
