Spotted: Menlo is in the pink

The late date of Easter this year means most of the traditional spring tulips are well passed their bloom – around town only the stocks remain. But a walk in west Menlo this afternoon revealed a ton of spring pink – flowers, shrubs and tress, too many to publish here. We choose two favorites: blooms from a massive rhododendron on Bay Laurel (“The best I’ve seen anywhere,” said a dog walker passing by.) and a couple of pretty roses spotted near the San Mateo bike bridge.
