Pop up entrepreneurs shine in west Menlo Park
While the hub of activity and commerce today in Menlo Park is at the Connoisseurs’ Marketplace downtown, some west Menlo residents are taking advantage of the traffic that flows from 280 to the festival. Rachel Jacobson has set up a tie-dye stand at 1260 Middle Ave. (nearest cross Hermosa) selling children and adult clothing in particularly brilliant colors. She’s taking advantage of not only the extra traffic to sell her tie-dye creations, but also to promote her Tie-Dye-Your-Summer home party business. Her pop stand will be there until 4:00 today (7/16).
About a block away, a half dozen or so homeowners on Cotton St. between Middle and Santa Cruz are holding garage sales. There’s the usual potpourri of stuff, with a particular abundance of stuff geared for the preschool set.
