Menlo Park Skate Jam returns to Valpo Hill Sept. 21-23

Ladera Skateboards, founded in Menlo Park, is sponsoring the third annual skate competition, utilizing the steep part of Valparaiso Ave. near Sharon Hills Park. Food will be provided by the Dutch Goose and on Sunday, the local bluegrass band, Windy Hill, will perform from 12 to 1:00. The event is free for spectators. The slow board competition is set for noon on Saturday the 22nd. Sunday’s featured events include the Grom competition (16 and under) at 11:00 am, the hard wheel competition at noon, with the main event starting at 2:00 pm.  A full schedule of events is available online as is registration.
